About the Course
The health care industry is one of the most highly regulated sectors in the United States, as evidenced by the vast array of laws and regulations related to health care access, quality, licensing, eligibility, safety and cost.
Health care law has implications for the triage nurse. Health care law defines the standards to be upheld during patient visits in the ED. The triage nurse must be knowledgeable about regulations and laws prior to, during and after triage occurs, to provide the safest patient care.
