Presentations are a gateway to an exhilarating exchange of ideas, fostering invaluable networking opportunities while leaving a lasting imprint on the global education landscape for emergency nurses. Your abstracts should embody the essence of sound adult learning principles, weaving together the finest threads of innovative thinking, theory, research and practice to craft a powerful narrative that can truly impact the world of emergency nursing education.
To deliver exceptional learning experiences, preference may be given to proposals that are positioned to deliver a mix of the following:
Content:
- Reflect innovative, cutting-edge content and evidence-based practice
- Present evidence supported by relevant research or data
- Explore issues important to diverse audiences that is inclusive and considers equitable best practices in emergency care
- Demonstrate the relevance of lessons through “real-life” case studies
Instructional Design:
- Stimulate and provoke discussion, audience engagement and outcome-focused design
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and development of new competencies
- Use methods that draw out relevant past knowledge and experiences
- Establish welcome environment for individuals of diverse backgrounds to engage and contribute to the conversation in a respectful and productive manner
Each submission will be blind peer-reviewed by a minimum of three emergency nurses.

General Submission Guidelines
- Log in to the ENA CadmiumCD Portal to begin the submission process
- Complete the required tasks - Abstract/content description, instructional flow, references, speaker agreements and other information.
- Submit a Disclosure Form for all authors and coauthors
- Input a maximum of three speakers per presentation submission
All presenters are responsible for their own travel and expenses related to their presentation. Up to three speakers per session will receive a discount on their conference registration. Only primary speakers will receive an honorarium, which is scaled based on speaking time.
ePoster presenters do not receive conference registration discounts or an honorarium.
ENA has provided a sample abstract to help you prepare your submission for annual conference.
ePoster Abstract Submissions
ENA is seeking submissions for ePosters which will be featured in the Experience Hall at ENA's annual conference. There are three ePoster categories for which you can apply:
- Evidence-based Practice: Should include information about the process and results of identifying and implementing evidence-guiding practice change to advance clinical practice.
- Quality Improvement: Should include information about the project goals, documentation of improvement and clear delineations of changes that sustain improved practice.
- Research: Should include information about the process and results of a study meant to generate new knowledge relative to a specific research question to advance clinical practice.
