ENA Seeks Best and Brightest in Emergency Nursing
ED nurses encouraged to apply for ENA Connection 20 Under 40 program
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (April 3, 2025) – Each year, the Emergency Nurses Association and its member magazine, ENA Connection, spotlight emergency nursing professionals who are enhancing their careers, uplifting their communities and transforming the emergency nursing specialty.
The 2024 class included humanitarians, published authors, those who wanted to be emergency nurses since they were kids and those who fell into it. Now, ENA and ENA Connection are looking for the best and the brightest for the fifth class of 20 Under 40 honorees. Applications are being accepted through April 30 for this year’s 20 Under 40 program.
“There are so many exceptional, young nurses who are members of ENA, and I’m excited to see what this year’s applicants bring to the table,” said ENA President Ryan Oglesby, PhD, MHA, RN, CEN, CFRN, NEA-BC. “This being the fifth year of the 20 Under 40 program shows that we have no shortage of ED nurses who are doing great things for our profession and their community out in the world.”
Emergency nurses under the age of 40 as of Jan. 1 are encouraged to apply for this prestigious honor. Those selected by a panel of reviewers comprised of ENA members and staff will be featured in the October issue of ENA Connection. Each honoree will also be recognized at Emergency Nursing 2025 in New Orleans and highlighted on ENA social media.
ENA is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all members, regardless of background or identity. The association encourages members of underrepresented or historically marginalized populations to apply for the 20 Under 40 honor to represent ENA’s diverse membership.
