About the Course
Emergency nurses are caring for and boarding more pediatric patients with mental health concerns than ever before. Approximately one in five children up to the age of 17 have a behavioral or mental health disorder and in 2020, there was a 31 percent increase in mental health-related emergency department visits.
This course will provide participants with knowledge about strategies to improve the care provided to children in the emergency department with mental health concerns which they can implement into their nursing practice.
