About the Course
The Managing Adult Behavioral Health in the Emergency Department 2.0 prepares the emergency nurse to improve triage of psychiatric emergencies, conduct an appropriate mental health assessment, and identify and manage escalating symptoms during the patient's ED visit.
The course emphasizes best practice recommendations that focus on maintaining nurse and patient safety through better communication, patient engagement, de-escalation skills, violence prevention policies and safe discharge procedures.
