How to Contribute
Nurses work better together. Here are some ways you can contribute your ideas and expertise to help propel emergency nursing forward while getting the best value out of your ENA membership.
Council and Chapter Leadership
For many members, their first exposure to ENA is at the local level. ENA has 50 state councils and more than 170 local chapters.
Councils are chartered by ENA to implement its philosophy, objectives and leadership. They serve as the decision-making body at the state level. Members become eligible to participate in state activities immediately upon joining ENA.
Local chapters are aligned with each of their respective councils. Chapters are responsible for implementing ENA professional activities as outlined by the council. Getting involved with your local chapter is a great way to learn about all ENA has to offer.
ENA CONNECT
ENA CONNECT is a members-only online community connecting nurses across the globe. Share best practices, connect with peers based on your interests and discuss the latest in emergency nursing.
Volunteering
ENA volunteers are a vital link between nursing practice, education, research and other specialty interests that benefit members and the emergency nursing profession.
Mentorship
Connect with other nurses to build your skills and expand your professional network through the ENA Mentorship Program.
Contribute Research
As ENA's official journal, the Journal of Emergency Nursing welcomes unsolicited submissions, including peer-reviewed articles, department/section articles and Letters to the Editor.
ENA Achievement Awards
Nominate your organization or peers for an award who exemplify exceptional performance in professional practice, innovation, leadership or advocacy.
Council & Chapter Leadership
ENA offers a variety of manuals, templates and other tools to support council and chapter leaders in managing local organizations.
Conferences and Events
From the ENA annual conference to local education, join your fellow nurses at one of these upcoming events.
