ENA President Chris Dellinger to Lead ED Nurse Delegation to Spain

June 7, 2024 Emergency Nurses Association Global Exchange International Spain

Global Exchange trip offers immersive experience to enhance understanding of emergency nursing

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (June 7, 2024) – On Friday, the Emergency Nurses Association announced 2024 ENA President Chris Dellinger, MBA, BSN, RN, FAEN, will lead this year’s Global Exchange delegation to Spain where members will learn from, and engage with, their emergency nursing peers over five days in October.

As part of ENA’s ongoing efforts to grow its community internationally, the Global Exchange program – in partnership with Citizen Ambassador – once again provides an immersive adventure that features engaging experiences focused on building a greater understanding of emergency nursing and health care in Spain through visits to local hospitals and a nursing school across four cities – Madrid, Avila, Salamanca and Toledo.

“Personally and professionally, this once-in-a-lifetime trip is so important to me because of how much we can all learn from emergency nurses around the world,” Dellinger explained. “As the premier emergency nursing organization in the world, ENA recognizes one of the best ways to support the global ED nursing community is by building relationships through amazing firsthand experiences.”

The trip, which takes place Oct. 20-25, also includes tours highlighting Spain’s rich history, beautiful architecture and vibrant culture. The registration deadline is June 30.

ENA’s Global Exchange program – and its mission to enhance the appreciation and understanding of emergency nursing in other countries – is in its third year. ENA members traveled to the United Arab Emirates in 2022 and Argentina in 2023.
