Interim co-executive directors appointed to advance ENA’s mission and strategic priorities 

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (Jan. 15, 2025) – As part of an ongoing transition, the Emergency Nurses Association on Wednesday announced changes to its leadership structure.

ENA Chief Executive Officer Nancy MacRae is no longer with the association after serving in the role since 2016. ENA offers its appreciation to Nancy for her service to the emergency nursing community over the last eight-plus years.

In a corresponding move, the ENA Board of Directors appointed Chief Operating Officer Bridget Walsh and Chief Clinical Officer Brad Goettl as interim co-executive directors to partner with the board and ENA’s senior leadership team to guide ENA’s current work and future direction during a transition period.

“The ENA Board and I are confident in the senior leadership team’s strength and with Bridget and Brad’s ability to guide ENA during this transition with a continued focus on advancing the association’s mission and strategic plan,” said ENA President Ryan Oglesby, PhD, MHA, RN, CEN, CFRN, NEA-BC.
