You can read/view CE tests for free and pay for the CE activity only after you�ve passed the test and want to receive a CE certificate. ENA members receive a special discounted fee and receive their CE certificate almost instantly! And in EACH issue of the Journal of Emergency Nursing (JEN) you can earn up to 6 to 8 CE�s!

TEN SIMPLE STEPS TO IMMEDIATE ONLINE CE!

Step 1: Read articles identified as �CE� in JEN Step 2: Access listings of available articles - ENA member Log in required, if you have not already done so. Step 3: From the �earn online CE� icon you will be able to access an index of current JEN CE article titles. Scroll through the articles and select CE that meets your needs or interests according to one or more groupings of �clinical�, �professional/administrative,� or �research� articles. Refer to the article in the print copy of your JEN or click on the article title to go directly to JENonline. When you are ready to test, click on the issue year, month, and topic of the test you want to take. Read and review as many times as you wish. When you are ready to submit your test, follow these simple instructions:

TO SUBMIT TEST AND RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE:

Step 4: The first time you complete a CE test you need to register on NursingCenter.com. Click on the red Join Now navigation bar at the upper right corner of each web page. Each time you return, click on Log In, then enter your user name and password to be sure that your certificates and tests will be saved. This allows you to retest in case you don�t pass. (If you didn�t pass, your test is automatically saved to My File Drawer, a feature for registered members of NursingCenter.com only), and you can take the test again. But you must be logged in during the test and when you return to it for this feature to work!) Step 5: Answer the multiple-choice questions online and click �Save Test� or �Submit this Test� at the bottom of the screen. Step 6: INSTANTLY YOUR SCORE WILL APPEAR! If you didn�t pass, you�ll be able to retest yourself � just click �Try Again.� Step 7: After you pass the test, click �Continue� and complete the required short CE test evaluation . Step 8: Upon completion of the test evaluation you will be asked to provide your certificate information. ENA members may click on �Retrieve my Information� and the fields will automatically be completed. Step 9: Click on �Continue� to go to the payment screen and complete the process. Enter your credit card and click the �Purchase� button.. Nursing Center members (only) can choose to pay offline.
Want to know what you missed? After paying for your test, you�ll see a summary and rationale for each question and answer; a checkmark will appear next to your correct answers, and a red "X" next to incorrect answers! Step 10: You can now choose to VIEW AND PRINT your electronic certificate � just click View Certificate at the end of the test!

NOTE: Your certificate will appear in a pop-up window. If you have pop-up blocking software installed on your computer, IT MUST BE DISABLED in order to view your certificate. Depending on which Internet browser you are using, you might see a pale yellow bar at the top of your page if your pop-up blocker is on. Click on the yellow bar and follow the instructions. For those who do not get a yellow bar, you will need to turn off pop-up blocker temporarily within your security settings.
