    Member-Get-a-Member Challenge Winners
In the first six months of 2007, Red River Valley Chapter in North Dakota captured the award for the largest percentage increase in membership from January 1 to June 30, 2007 (25 percent member increase). The Virginia Tidewater Chapter added 39 members giving it the honor for most new members recruited. Both chapters receive one complimentary package including registration, hotel for three nights and airfare to their choice of the 2007 ENA Annual Conference or Leadership Conference 2008. Out of the 4,180 new members who joined ENA from January 1 to June 30, 2007, 930 were sponsored by current members. This proves once again that our members are the grassroots of ENA and are truly dedicated to strengthening its voice in emergency nursing. The campaign continues, and two more complimentary awards will be awarded for the recruitment period July 1 to December 31, 2007. DMR to Merge With JEN in 2008
In an effort to raise the readership and reach of articles related to emergency preparedness and disaster management, ENA has decided to discontinue publication of Disaster Management & Response (DMR) magazine in favor of incorporating its content into ENA’s other peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Emergency Nursing (JEN). This move will allow ENA to reduce costs while increasing member access to this important information related to emergency preparedness. This content will be housed in a special section of JEN devoted specifically to providing readers with cutting-edge research and insightful case studies on emergency preparedness and disaster management. The transition of DMR’s content to JEN will take place in January 2008.
