34 States Raised $64,126.98 in the 2008 ENA Foundation State Challenge

The ENA Foundation now conducts an annual ENAF State Challenge a grassroots fundraising campaign successfully initiated in 2007. All state councils, chapters and individuals are invited to participate, with the goal of increasing financial support for the ENA Foundation and enabling it to establish additional educational scholarships for emergency nurses.

The 2007 ENAF State Challenge resulted in 22 states participating, which raised $39,822. ENAF is proud to report that a new milestone was reached in the 2008 State Challenge, which raised $64,126.98, 132 percent of the $48,525.goal. The ENAF Board of Trustees thanks all of the state council members who embraced the challenge and supported the 2008 campaign.

Congratulations to the Winners

New Jersey State Council won the challenge for highest dollar amount raising $12,200. The prize: one free registration to the 2008 ENA Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Minnesota State Council won the per capita challenge with $11.78 per member. The prize: one free registration to the 2008 ENA Annual Conference in Minneapolis.

California, Illinois, Minnesota and New Jersey State Councils each raised more than $5,000. The prize: the opportunity to name a 2009 scholarship after a deserving member or in memory of a member who has passed.
