This resource originated from a desire by the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN®) to enhance opportunities for emergency, flight and critical care ground transport nurses to prepare for the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®), the Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN®), and the Certified Transport Registered Nurse CTRN (TM) examination. Although the BCEN believes that it would be a conflict of interest to sponsor or endorse any preparatory course or text for the CEN, CFRN or CTRN examination, the BCEN believes that it can provide general information that would help course coordinators and instructors in planning and implementing a review course. With this resource, the BCEN assembled an overview of this information. This resource is not intended for use as an educational aid for candidates preparing to take the CEN, CFRN, or CTRN examination.
